Product Launch: Movelite WireFree RTS with USB-C Connector

Somfy is pleased to announce that the Movelite WireFree RTS Curtain motor, now comes with a USB-C charging connector on the battery pack.

This enhancement has increased the battery life by 1.5 months, improving the charging experience for customers and streamlining the number of charging cables required for our WireFree range.

To support customers in managing inventory of the former version of [ref #1241139] Movelite WireFree RTS with micro-USB, the reference will change to [ref #1246145].

It's important to note that the compatible charger is the same charger used for the Smart Shading WireFree range [ref #902892 - sold separately]. For this reason, a charging cable will no longer be included in the Movelite WireFree RTS motor box. The performance and technical specification of the Movelite WireFree RTS motor remains unchanged from the previous version - the only change to the motor ‘kit,’ is the new battery pack. 

Please note that the battery pack with the USB-C charging connector does not have a LED low battery indicator. The motor will beep once after operation, to indicate when the battery is low. When connected to power, the LED on the USB-C charger [ref# 9028922] will indicate the following battery charging status: 

• Solid RED: Charging
• Solid GREEN: Battery pack is fully charged. 

For warranty purposes, the new battery pack is also compatible with the former version [ref #11241139].

Due to a variance in the voltage, the new version of Movelite WF RTS is not compatible with the WireFree Li-ion Zigbee Solar Panel Kit [ref #9029114]. 

The RRP Price List has been updated to reflect the new Movelite WireFree RTS reference [#1246145] with no change to the pricing. To view more, visit the product page on SomfyPro.
